one of the uncoolest things about Notes/Domino forums

is splitting things up. If you are a Notes person you are usually involved in several versions, XPages, other development, administration, installation. Most of the issues and questions are cross version boundaries.

So why it is wrong to discuss XPages on 8.5 forum? Because it's supposed to die when 8.next or 9 come out? or?

In some areas you get involved more in some less, but having common community, common knowledge pool is most important. I believe the approach to split of each release in a separate forum, and now split of a part of development still in a separate is sure means to decrease the usefulness of each.

I know that this is a common approach on web forums, but on every site that has numerous forums only few are really functioning. The rest are just created to die.
